Brisbane, 23 February, 2021 - Australia’s leading IP Transit and Security as a Service company, Global Secure Layer (GSL), today announced it has continued its international network expansion into New York and Tokyo with the world’s largest digital infrastructure company, Equinix

This network expansion into Equinix’s state of the art International Business Exchange (TM) (IBX®) data centres in two of the world’s major business and financial hubs comes just months after GSL was recognised as an Equinix Gold Partner.

Callum Hansford, Chief Operations Officer, GSL said the ability to enter two new international markets early in 2021 is testament to the great partnership the company has established with Equinix.

“Equinix has enabled Global Secure Layer to rapidly build out our international network edge and establish a presence in two booming economic hubs. Expanding our network so quickly allows us to open new markets and meet the growing needs of our customers."

“Equinix is the perfect partner for our business as we continue to expand our global footprint. With its already existing international network, which comprises 63 metros in 26 countries, Equinix has the most comprehensive global interconnection platform and the market capabilities we were looking for,” said Hansford.

“Having points of presence in both financial hubs means our growth trajectory is well on track for achieving our network expansion goals this year.”

Guy Danskine, Managing Director of Australia, Equinix, said it is great to see GSL continuing to innovate and branch out into new international markets on Platform Equinix®.

“Global Secure Layer is truly pushing the boundaries of the industry and will certainly be one to watch in the future. It is fantastic to see the company rapidly build out its core network with Equinix, which ensures its key services can be effectively aggregated and delivered across multiple data centres regardless of location.

“We are excited to provide Global Secure Layer the digital infrastructure building blocks they need and look forward to expanding our relationship with them as they continue to deliver world class services to their customers,” said Danskine.
