Brisbane, 06 January, 2021 - Global Secure Layer, a leading Australian IP Transit and Security as a Service company, today announced their continued expansion into two of NEXTDC’s facilities in Sydney and Melbourne. Both NEXTDC S1 and NEXTDC M1 are now on-net for GSL allowing for continued growth into the “booming” Sydney and Melbourne markets.

These new sites will inject additional capacity into Global Secure Layer’s already global network allowing for a greater reach for customers requiring IP Transit, Ethernet and DDoS protection.

Chief Executive Officer for Global Secure Layer, Nathan Harding said this expansion enabled GSL to continue to grow its rapidly evolving Australian footprint.

“Our growth into an additional two of NEXTDC’s facilities allows us to continue to service our customers and their ever-growing demand for low-latency and secure transit,” said Nathan.

“With organisations transitioning to an online presence overnight as a result of the global pandemic, the surge in demand for low-latency transit has rapidly increased.”

“Having a PoP in two more of NEXTDC’s facilities in Sydney and Melbourne only strengthens our Asia-Pacific presence and enables us to continue on our rapid trajectory of growth,” said Nathan.

Global Secure Layer continues to operate a world-class global fibre backbone network, providing reliable, secure and low latency solutions to top-tier enterprise organisations.
